Attached Lid Containers
Attached Lid Containers, also known as Tote Boxes, are excellent distribution containers. Key features include integral hinged lids and tamper evident security seals. These totes are also nestable and stackable.
We offer three ranges of attached lid containers to suit your application, namely Versatote, Kaiman and Allibert.
Versatote's own style, stack when full, nest when empty for cost effective transportation.

Tote Box Features & Benefits
- Across all our Attached Lid Container (ALC) ranges we offer 1-3 strapping points depending on the range and the size of the tote, ensuring each loaded box or several stacked boxes can be secured.
- All our ALC’s have been designed with a label/or barcode collars to interact with automation machinery and RF scanners. Saving you time and money on designing bespoke totes, and giving you the ability to use the tote outside the automation to transport in a closed loop or to external parties
- Each lid has raised hinges or nodules around the perimeter of the lid, this ensures when the totes are stacked on top of each other there is reduced movement, stabilizing the load when strapped.
- When in transit the ALC when full can stack and interlock with each other (although we would recommend strapping) and can fit on a 5x3 footprint on a standard euro pallet, meaning you get a full load of neatly stacked pallets making it easier to load and unload reducing time and costs. To reduce fuel consumption ALC’s when empty can integrate and stack on a pallet, further reducing transport costs
- Our lids have been designed to interlock further when stacked to ensure downward force from weight above does not damage the integrity of the tote or lid. (Need weight limit from James)
- CSS can give you three material options depending on your budget or climate goals; Virgin Material (includes plastic packaging tax) available in any single colour/pantone; 70:30 70% Virgin material:30 Reprocessed plastic available in any single colour/pantone; 100% Reprocessed Plastic available in limited colour options. Materials listed are based on highest to lowest cost, with reprocessed plastic being the most environmentally sustainable.
- Available on some of our ALC range we can offer textures areas to make it easier “to easy peel” off labels use for transit and extend the life of your tote.
- All of our products are designed, manufactured and distributed from the UK, meaning you reduce the carbon footprint, support the UK economy!
Tamper Proof Seals
Did you know we also offer our very own tamper proof seals available in any colour and integrate with any of our ALC totes.
This means that you can have peace of mind that your tote and its contents are secure in transit to its final location.
Digital Laminate Printing
We offer digital laminated printing, either logos or text available to print on any side of the ALC, with different colour print options available.
By digital printing for our customers we reduce scrappage and our carbon footprint compared to heat stamping. Meaning we can keep our prices competitive in the marketplace.
Barcode Printing
We also offer a barcode printing service. Many businesses use incorrect label adhesive which leaves a sticky residue or label remnants when peeled off, meaning that over time the life of the tote is shortened.
CSS offers a label that has an adhesive specifically designed for fitment to polypropylene - a notoriously difficult material to stick to.
